ABOUT THE COURSE
Learn how to willow weave this beautiful and unusual basket on this training course in the Hampshire South Downs. This Spanish-style Zarzo basket is woven entirely differently from our traditional English baskets; the weaving pattern is simple in technique but extremely effective. Traditionally Zarzo trays originated in Catalonia where they were used to drain cheese from brine and then serve. This stunning basket is perfect to use for picnics, shopping, or carrying/displaying your treasured items.

Beginners or improvers with some manual dexterity, hand strength and patience!

- A packed lunch (please note The Beech Cafe on site is closed over the Christmas period until 25th January)

ABOUT THE TUTOR
Amanda Rayner set up Wyldwood Willow in 2000 in the aim of encouraging others to take up weaving. Since then she has been running willow workshops all across the southwest and teaches at Humble by Nature just outside Monmouth. As well as teaching, Amanda takes on a wonderful array of willow commissions, from arrow quivers to garden sculptures, baskets to coffins.
