Time: 18:00 - 20:00 Tutor: Jonathon Huet |
This course:
"A really wonderful evening connecting with nature and learning more about our own indigenous traditions too. The guided meditations were fabulous! I'd highly recommend this workshop for anyone looking for a couple of hours escape - I arrived exhausted and left energised and rejuvenated!" |
ABOUT THE COURSE
A series of guided meditation workshops, each with an individual flavour. Jonathon will guide you gently through meditations and natural connection practices designed to restore your connection with nature and to bring healing to yourself and the land to which we all belong.
May: Wisdom of the Birch Grove This first session will explore the process of setting up or renewing a meditation practice that will hold you on a daily basis through life's challenges. We will 'journey' to a healing birch grove - a peaceful place to pause and feel calmness. We shall look at the roots of the practices borne from these Western Lands and the ancient traditions that are still relevant today, especially through the trees.
June: Connecting to the Plant Kingdoms Plants provide us with materials, medicine and food as well as being joyous and uplifting. In this session, we shall look at their practical qualities as well as exploring how they can help us connect to our inner worlds and how our ancestors worked with them.
July: The Earth Mother In our last session of the year we shall explore our relationship with the natural world through the Earth Mother by connecting with the Earth, Sea and Sky. We will learn how to tune into and experience the supporting power of the landscape. How did our ancestors see their environment and how is this relevant today? Exploring the landscape as a living being can awaken a renewed respect and awe for our important and wonderful planet.
These sessions are suitable for all people of all abilities and experience. You can opt to buy any single meditation or attend all three for a deeper learning experience.
