South Downs Eco Lodge
​Camping

​Our small campsite is in a peaceful open space surrounded by our beautiful woodlands. It makes an ideal base for a holiday or overnight stay for individuals, families, cyclists, walkers and groups. We encourage guests to enjoy nature and the natural environment, and we hope you will find it peaceful and relaxing. 

​Our campsite comprises of 6 camping pitches on the main camp site and 3 camping bays for up to 4 people on each.

Unfortunately we do not have a licence for camper vans or caravans anywhere on our site, including the car parking areas.​
Prices
£15.00 per adult per night.
£7.50 per child under 18 per night
FREE for infants under 3
£2.00 per dogs in Olive or Mini yurts
£2.00 per dog in tents

​Explore​
Our 55 acres of beautiful grounds and woodland is available for you to explore. There are several wonderful pubs close by. Our staff can provide a list. Many wonderful walks are on your doorstep as we are on the South Downs Way.​

Washing Up 
There is an under cover washing up area in the straw bale building.
​
Toilets & Showers 
Our facilities include a shower block with 3 showers in a straw bale building. We have 3 compost toilets. Please note that until 28th March our showers on the campsite will not available to use, as such, we have discounted camping prices by £5 until this date. 

Dogs
Dogs are welcome in our grounds, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Dogs are allowed in Olive Yurt, Mini Yurt and in tents. 
Dogs are not allowed in Rose Yurt.
Dogs are not allowed in the South Downs Eco Lodge except registered assistance dogs.
​​​​Shop
We have a gift shop open Monday to Friday in office hours. We sell basic supplies, such as soap, toothpaste and some snacks are available.
​
​Pizza Oven
There is a wood fired pizza oven for campers to use, at a cost of £10. You just need to book it via the accommodation office.  01730 823549

​Cooking
We have fire bowls on every pitch. You are welcome to bring camping stoves. Please do not use disposable BBQs.

Fires Bowls

​You can hire a fire bowl before your arrival or during your stay. 
​Each fire bowl hired comes with logs, kindling and firelighters for each night you hire the fire bowl. 

Fire bowl hire must be ordered by 3pm daily to receive it on the same day.

​Cafe
​Our Cafe serves delicious breakfast from 8.30am and vegetarian and vegan lunches and cakes until 4pm from Wed to Sun.

The Beech Cafe will be closing at 3pm on Sunday 3rd August 2025. Sorry for any inconvenience.

​Group Bookings & Celebrations
The whole camp site can be booked exclusively for one group or celebration, for a fixed price. This is great for team building trips or family gatherings. The campsite is a quiet off grid and car free space for low-impact basic camping, without electricity, all in a woodland setting.

You can get 10% discount when you stay with us during your course for 2 nights or more in our campsite or eco lodge.
