Meet the Education Team
Kati Heath
Head of Learning
I joined the Education Team in January 2022. With a Primary Education background and a life-long love of nature and wildlife, I’m thrilled to share my knowledge and teach the future generation important sustainable practices to make a long lasting difference in this world. I love that no two days are the same here, I could be hunting for mini-beasts with 6 year olds, building rammed chalk walls with 13 year olds or guiding a walk across the South Downs National Park with university students - I endeavour to spread the message that sustainable living and learning is for everyone!

Liz Roebuck
Learning Assistant
After nearly 30 years as a primary school teacher, I joined the Centre in September 2022, with my true passion lying in outdoor learning experiences. Part of my role is arranging day and residential visits and customising these is our speciality - ensuring seamless experiences tailored to each group's objectives. Nature has always captivated me and I strive to pass on this love to the children I teach. I relish the hands-on teaching across age groups, especially in guiding young minds toward sustainable living.

Sean Reeves
Outdoor Learning Specialist
I started as a volunteer in 2005, but with my expertise in Bushcraft, Forest School and Creative Crafts I moved into the Education Team. I specialise in working with hard to reach young people including those with emotional and learning needs, I love watching them flourish in their time spent learning outdoor skills at the Centre. Activities can range from anything such as shelter building, fire lighting, navigation, tool work, team building games to sensory discovery. The favourite part of my role is seeing the young people I work with gain in confidence and self esteem.

Jonathon Huet
Outdoor Learning Specialist
In 2015 I started as a freelance instructor on the alternative education programme, specialising in working with young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, utilising my bushcraft, woodcraft and challenging behaviour qualifications. I have a keen interest in botany and love to share my passion for plants demonstrating their many uses as well as their wildlife value. I believe this makes a positive difference and a worthwhile contribution to sustainability and I look forward to inspiring more young people in the future.

Penny Rose
Outdoor Learning Leader
I started here in 2009, whilst living on site in my cosy yurt with solar power for electricity and a wood burner for heat. Amongst the wide range of activities I enjoy passing on my enthusiasm for discovering new and creative ways to engage people with exciting solutions to environmental issues. As a Level 3 Forest School Leader, I also love a singsong around a campfire. With my background in Art Design and Media I am passionate about facilitating children's creativity in nature.
