ABOUT THE COURSE
Learn how to willow weave a sculpture for your garden on this craft course in the Hampshire South Downs. Choose what you would like to weave from a small animal to an abstract form. Previous participants have made: dragonflies, hearts, foxes, chickens and pheasants. This course will take place indoors.

- Knowledge on how to select suitable materials
THIS COURSE IS SUITABLE FOR
Beginners or improvers with some manual dexterity, hand strength and patience! Beginners are advised to choose a less detailed animal to start with, the tutor will be able to advise.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR
- Work clothes
- Apron
- Sharp secateurs
- A packed lunch (please note The Beech Cafe on site is closed over the Christmas period until 25th January)
- This course will take place indoors.
- Please make sure your vehicle has room to take your sculpture home!
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Amanda Rayner set up Wyldwood Willow in 2000 in the aim of encouraging others to take up weaving. Since then she has been running willow workshops all across the southwest and teaches at Humble by Nature just outside Monmouth. As well as teaching, Amanda takes on a wonderful array of willow commissions, from arrow quivers to garden sculptures, baskets to coffins.
