We run a number of popular willow weaving courses throughout the year at our learning centre in the Hampshire South Downs, near Petersfield. Learn how to make a willow basket, a willow structure for your garden or beautiful natural Christmas decorations from locally grown willow. 

Half Day Courses

Willow bird feeders course

On this training course in the Hampshire South Downs, you'll create naturally stylish, biodegradable feeders to hang in the garden for feeding wild birds. 

Living Willow Tree Course

​Join us in learning how to weave your very own living willow Harlequin tree from willow grown at our site on this course in the Hampshire South Downs.

Willow Festive Decoration Workshops

Learn how to make woven yuletide decorations from natural materials.

WilloW OBELISK COURSE 

Create a beautiful woven obelisk plant support for climbing plants like sweet peas or green beans on this half-day course.

Willow Peony Plant Support Course

Zarzo Willow Basket Course

This Spanish Style Zarzo willow basket is woven in an entirely different way to our traditional English baskets; the weaving pattern is simple in technique but extremely effective. 

Oval Willow Basket

Learn how to willow weave an oval shoulder basket. A great first time oval basket for those who have woven round willow baskets or willow obelisks before. ​

Willow Frame Basket

One day course suitable for beginners. Learn to make a hand woven gypsy style frame basket on this one day course.

Willow Garden Sculpture

Learn how to willow weave a sculpture for your garden on this one day course. Choose what you would like to weave from a small animal to an abstract form.

Willow Reindeer

Spend a fun day making a willow reindeer about 75cm tall to stand on a windowsill or table. ​

Spend a weekend engrossed in developing your skills in willow weaving and basketry. On this progressive course, you will weave a number of willow items which will give you the chance to practise basket making techniques before making your own basket.

​Learn how to weave this stunning willow backpack on this friendly two day course with expert tutor, Amanda Rayner, who is a featured artisan in Kate Humble's book, Home Made.
