The Sustainability Centre aims to be a dynamic force for change, creating enjoyable practical learning experiences for environmentally sustainable living.
At our outdoor learning centre, in Hampshire's South Downs, our focus is on walking our talk and sharing what we know. We have been re-wilding this former Ministry of Defence base for the past 30 years transforming it into a place where people and nature thrive. We are committed to sharing our ideas for positive solutions to planetary problems.
Our bespoke outdoor learning sessions for under 18s include day trips; residential visits; small group and special education programmes bringing sustainability to life. We deliver 3,500 pupil days every year. Our Adult courses programme attracts over 3,000 people each year. Current courses range from traditional rural skills and bushcraft to wellbeing and permaculture. We aim to manage our land, charity and enterprises as working examples of authentic sustainability. We are passionate about educating others about sustainability in order to protect our planet. |
Leaves for Learning is our fund raising appeal which supports major projects such as the planned eco-retrofit of our main building to create a New Learning Centre. Each year we also have special fundraising projects to enable us to buy equipment and provide bursaries for our education programmes. |

Every project is carefully chosen to help us deliver our work with the ultimate goal of protecting our planet. NEW LEARNING CENTRE
We are working towards a full eco retrofit of our main building. This will provide visitors, pupils and course attendees with besopke, nature inspired teaching rooms and work with an architect to re-design the interior layout.

This year we want to complete the replacement of windows with triple glazing.
