Earthworks Trust Ltd is a registered charity (1079866) which uses the operational title of The Sustainability Centre to provide an insight into its core values and activities.  Established in 1995, The Sustainability Centre is an independent education and learning centre, a beacon for sustainability, and an award-winning social enterprise.  We provide a broad range of courses and seminars in sustainability, eco-awareness and low impact living, taking place within our 55 acre site here in the heart of the South Downs National Park in Hampshire.  We work with schools, community groups, people with disabilities, families and the elderly. 
 
Would you consider leaving a legacy to Earthworks Trust Ltd ? – (The Sustainability Centre)
 
Leaving a legacy is very straightforward.  However; we will advice that you seek the help of a solicitor to include The Sustainability Centre in your existing will or to draw up a new will.  Below are two simple steps you can take to include The Sustainability Centre in Your Will.
 
1. You need to decide the type of legacy you wish to leave.

• Residuary Legacy  - A gift of all (or part) of the residue of your estate when all debts, charges and gifts have been deducted.  A good way to help is to leave a percentage of what is left of your estate or assets, after other gifts (and debts) have been paid. This is known as a ‘residuary bequest’.  Your solicitor can advise you on how you can do this without affecting the specific gifts you leave your family and friends. 
• Pecuniary Legacy – A gift of a fixed amount of money.  You may wish to leave us a stated sum of money.  This kind of gift is known as a pecuniary bequest.  If you are concerned that inflation may erode the value of your gift over the years, then it is possible to leave an index-linked pecuniary gift in your will.
•  Specific Legacy - A gift of a particular item, e.g. a piece of jewellery, musical instrument or artwork.  You may wish to leave us a particular item (known as a specific bequest), which can be sold to support our charity.  

2. You need to update your Will to include your gift to Earthworks Trust Ltd – (The Sustainability Centre).
Your solicitor or professional adviser will be able to help you make a simple addition or amendment to your Will. 

If you decide to leave a legacy to Earthworks Trust Ltd, we would like to acknowledge your gift. You might like to discuss ways in which you can become involved in our work during your lifetime.
