About Us
With our position in the heart of the South Downs National Park, The Sustainability Centre could not enjoy a more idyllic setting. Our aims to educate, enable and inspire people from all walks of life to make positive changes to the way they live and work.
The Centre is spread across 55 acres of woodland and natural chalk downland. Indeed, the sheer beauty of our surroundings is an enduring reminder of the importance of our work and goals. We are owned by a charity, the Earthworks Trust, which was established in 1995.
The Centre is spread across 55 acres of woodland and natural chalk downland. Indeed, the sheer beauty of our surroundings is an enduring reminder of the importance of our work and goals. We are owned by a charity, the Earthworks Trust, which was established in 1995.
As part of this vision we aim to manage our land, our charity and our businesses as working examples of sustainability. We practise and promote sustainability as a process of making decisions which balance economic, social and environmental factors for positive benefit. We nurture people and ideas. And in an increasingly uncertain world, we aim to provide positive messages and practical solutions for dynamic, creative change.
In pursuing this goal, we welcome families and schools; professionals and special interest groups; walkers and cyclists on the South Downs Way; children and young people; and simply anyone with an interest in what we do.
