cancellations and refunds policy
More Than 1 Month Notice
If you cancel an adult course, workshop or residential course with more than 1 month notice before the start of the event we will refund your fees or transfer your booking to another Adult Course or Adult Workshop if places allow. An administration fee of £25 will be payable in all cases. Any difference in price will need to be paid by the customer.
Less Than 1 Month Notice
If you cancel a booking within 1 month of the start of your event we will not normally give refunds or transfer bookings. In exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or hospitalisation customers may be eligible for a 50% refund. Customers would need to apply in writing to courses@sustainability-centre.org before the start of the course. An admin fee of £25 is payable.
Course Cancellations
In the very unlikely event that The Sustainability Centre has to cancel a course or event, or has to cancel your booking for any other reason, we will refund your fees in full.

courses bursary fund
We want our courses to be accessible to all, so everyone has the opportunity to build on their skills and knowledge to live more sustainably. To make our courses more affordable, we have a Courses Bursary Fund which is open to application to anyone who couldn't afford to attend one of our courses otherwise.
When you purchase a place on a course, there is the option to give an amount above the standard price if you feel that your financial circumstances allow you to pay into the Courses Bursary Fund. The idea behind 'pay it forward' systems like this is to do acts of kindness which will have a positive effect on others, and in return the recipients are just asked to pass on the good deed to keep the cycle going.
The bursary fund is used to subsidise courses for people who otherwise could not afford to attend a course. Individuals who feel their financial circumstances won't allow them to participate in a course due to cost, can apply for a bursary once a year, which will subsidise the course by up to 50% for one course place.
If you have any further questions about our Courses Bursary Fund, please Contact Us.
