​ABOUT THE COURSE

This workshop will teach you how to make a variety of tried and tested recipes to enable you to start making your own natural cleaning products from simple ingredients that can be found in your cupboards or easily and cheaply bought. This workshop is hands-on, so you will have a whole variety of products to take home with you along with detailed handouts. Kinder to you, the earth these products will save you pennies and are quick and easy to make.

We will be making:
  • Anti-bacterial spray
  • Dishwasher tablets 
  • General kitchen cleaning spray
  • Clothes washing liquid
  • Toilet cleaner
  • Deep nourishing wood polish/General wood polish 
  • Bees Wax Wraps 
  • You will also watch a scouring powder demonstration

THE COURSE WILL GIVE YOU

  • Products made on the course plus a detailed handout of the recipes.
  • Knowledge of how to make a range of home cleaning products from scratch using natural ingredients, which will save you money and eliminate chemical and single-use packaging.

THIS COURSE IS SUITABLE FOR

Suitable for beginners.

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR

  • A medium-size mixing bowl
  • An up-cycled toilet cleaner bottle with removable lid or a jar/bottle (about 750ml)
  • 3 jars - jam jar size with lids
  • An up-cycled cleaning spray bottle with removable top or a large jar/bottle (300ml)
  • An up-cycled clothes washing liquid bottle or jar/bottle (needs to hold about a 1 litre)
  • An apron (optional)
  • A packed lunch or lunch can be bought from The Beech Cafe on site

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Since her childhood, Dee has been fascinated by the power of plants and being in nature. She studied an apprenticeship in herbal medicine with Sensory Solutions and plant spirit healing with Pam Montgomery. Dee has years of teaching experience and is passionate about sharing her knowledge.
