Fair Share Fund
for SCHOOLS

We aim to be accessible to all schools and spread the message of sustainability far and wide. We have created the Fair Share Fund to provide a financial support to schools who have 30% or more of their pupils eligible for Free School Meals.

We hope this will overcome barriers that some schools face in coming here for a day. This funding support reduces the cost of a day trip to £2.20 per pupil (an 80% reduction to our current cost of £11 per pupil).
HOW IT IS FUNDED
Through our own fundraising efforts, grant applications and donations.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can help support this initiative by making a donation to the Fair Share Fund. You can choose to target your donation to support this initiative and help us to reach even more schools.
  • A donation of £8.80 will help one young person
  • A donation of £264 will help a class of 30 young people
  • A donation of £528 will help two classes and reach 60 young people
Please give whatever you can – every pound will make a difference.

100% of your donation will make it possible for school children from deprived areas to visit The Sustainability Centre and enjoy a bespoke package of learning during their day visit - thank you.  topics.

Award-Winning

We are delighted to announce that the Fair Share Fund is now an award-winning scheme, being recognised by Southern Sustainability Partnerships and being presented with one of their Big Sustainability Awards in October of 2025 - only a little over a year after it's inception in May 2024! We are extremely grateful for all the support we've received so far and hope this continues to grow in the future, as the demand for outdoor and environmental learning has never been greater.
