Gardening in a Changing Climate - Saturday 13th July 2024
10:00 - 16:00
Tutor: Tom Neilson
This course will provide an overview of the principals of gardening with climate change and biodiversity in mind. Participants will learn how to analyse site conditions working with nature to create resilient gardens that can accept fluctuations in temperature and rainfall we are now experiencing with grace. Discover how carefully selected planting true to a particular soil type can behave like a natural landscape saving the need to artificially suspend our planting with water and compost. The theory on this day will be interspersed with a Wildflower Meadow survey and studying the merits of a selection of plants from Tom's nursery.
