TopicsAll sessions include why willow is considered a sustainable , renewable resources, how it grows as a plant and the benefits to wildlife on our site. Pupils will learn how to weave the willow to make stunning craft pieces. Choose from willow fish, Saxon willow hurdles or willow planets.
With a show and tell of replica artefacts of the period the focus will be on the domestic history and the crafts of the Saxons. Pupils will carry out some hands on activities and look at how pottery is identified from archaeological sites.
