Come along and make your own log basket to grace your fireside this winter on this two day willow weaving course with expert tutor, Amanda Rayner, in the Hampshire South Downs. On the first day, you will learn to weave the willow base followed by putting on the upset. In the afternoon, you will continue the basket by chasing two sets of three rod whale. You will then choose a pattern followed by more whaling and a repeat of the pattern. On the second day, you will continue the weaving, finishing up by laying down a rope border and adding handles. Your tutor will demonstrate and support you through the various techniques needed to complete this sustainable willow basket which you will proudly take home with you at the end of the course. This course will take place indoors.
