Evening Talk: Healthy Soil, Healthy You - Tues 21st June 2022
A talk on organic growing for soil health and our health by Jane Gleeson
Tuesday 21st June 2022, 7pm - 8.30pm
This evening talk will get you really excited about soil!
Soil is amazing stuff. Just one teaspoon of it contains more living organisms than there are people in the whole world. And, soil stores three times as much carbon as all the plants and trees on the planet combined. Jane Gleeson teaches horticulture and is on a mission to educate people about the importance of healthy soil, not just for plants and the planet, but for people too.
In this talk, Jane will share with you how looking after the soil and making your own compost helps restore the connection between human life and soil life, as well as putting carbon back into the soil. Find out what is key to sustaining healthy soil and the latest scientific understanding on the positive impacts to our bodies and immune systems of eating plants grown in healthy soil.
