Nature Connection & Poetry - Online Event - Sunday 31st January 2021
NATURE CONNECTION AND POETRY
AN ONLINE EVENT
Sunday 31st January
2pm to 4pm
Experience a deep and lasting connection to nature in your own home wherever you are.
Join Jonathon in reconnecting and re-remembering the story lines of our own culture is essential for fostering a nature connection that is both profound and sustainable. Every landscape, tree, plant and animal holds that knowledge, we just have to take the time to listen.
This evening will offer gentle meditation enhanced by the works of Classical and Celtic sources such as John Clare, William Butler Yeats, Fiona MacLeod and John Muir.
These are poets and writers from the Western traditions and therefore can help us embody a connection to our own culture in our own neighborhood.
Poetry opens doorways to an ever-deepening connection to nature and our soul and when composed by those who have experienced the profound changes instigated by the natural world it is an incredible tool for meditation.
After the evening you will receive a detailed hand out on the sources we used with clear steps to help you enhance your nature connection.
Lead by Jonathon Huet
The course will be hosted online using Zoom. Participants will be emailed a link to join in the week beforehand.
