ABOUT THE COURSE
This year, we close of Nature Led Meditation series by exploring the seasonal celebration of Samhain. This is a Gaelic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season in autumn and beginning of winter or the darker half of the year. Celebrations begin on the evening of 31 October, since the Celtic day began and ended at sunset. This is about halfway between the autumnal equinox and winter solstice.
Traditionally, this festival was a time to connect deeply to nature and to step-over an important threshold of the year. We shall perform a ritual to honour the earth and bring healing to the land while exploring the old stories of the earth as a Mother, the landscape as a sacred place where we are held and supported in a profound and everlasting way. At this time people actively appeased the spirit of the land for it was believed that it's guardians and ancestors awoke on this night.
This unique evening will bring together story, poetry and meditation to enable the participant to recharge and experience deep peace and joy. We hope you can join us.
