ABOUT THE TUTOR
My name is Sammie Longhorn, I am a forager, folk herbalist and storyteller. My passion is for reconnecting people with the incredible edible and medicinal properties of our wild and native plant life. I love showing people all the wonderful wild herbs and flowers flourishing in our meadows, woodlands and wild areas. I love to share these benefits along with tips for safe identification and an explanation of how the plants would have been used historically and traditionally. I will offer tips for culinary ideas and methods of how to convert our harvests into preparations to boost the health of ourselves and our friends and family. I have a passion for sharing each plants folklore and mythology, this is how our ancient ancestors would have passed along the knowledge of which plants can harm us and which can heal us. Each season brings its own gifts for the herbcrafter and I look forward to sharing them all.
