Monday - Art & Craft escape to the woods with guest tutor, Richard Andrews, truly immersing you in the wonderful world of trees and unleashing your personal and group creativity. Activities to include tree spirits, mandalas, bracelets, watches, pendants, mini fibre basket/box, willow platters.
Tuesday - Shelter learn not only how to shelter effectively from all weathers, but also about different natural building materials and the beasties they protect you from. We will track wild animals, identify mini beasts and also dip in the pond. Other activities to include shelter building, tarp rigging and knot tying, sand bag arch.
Wednesday - Tools a whole day dedicated to tool use. Start small and work your way up to using hand tools appropriate to your age. Hand drills, whittling, bow saws, spades, forks, catapults, mallets, and even fire lighting.
Thursday - Food from permaculture and forest gardening to foraging and tending our polytunnels, learn the process of growing your own and take home your own sowed pot of herbs. You may also get the chance to make fertiliser, and how to know your spinach from your kale.
Friday - Connection & Community the final day will bring us all together to celebrate the week with a campfire cooked lunch as well as reflecting on our connective experiences in the woodland. Jonathon Huet will lead the group on a guided meditation and practice the art of the sit spot and forest bathing. A calm and joyful day to end the week.
