ABOUT THE COURSE
An exciting introduction to the traditional art of blacksmithing, this course will help you to create your own candle stick, fire poker or paper weight from reclaimed metal material.
We will spend the first half of the day understanding the basics of blacksmithing and why blacksmiths work in the way they do. A few practice strikes will be made before the afternoon session where we will get to grips with producing an item to take home. Participants are able to choose what to make from a variety of items such as candle holders, fire pokers, paper weights or plant supports.
