ABOUT THE COURSE
Learn how to draw and paint the beautiful skies of summer on this weekend immersive art course. You will be inspired by our peaceful yet dynamic woodland setting, attending sessions specially designed to immerse you in nature and bring to the fore all your creative focus. Our local teaching artist, Jules Simmons, will lead you through all the techniques including selecting your materials, creating depth and personality in your work, and learning how to draw and paint an original composition with atmosphere. You will learn to capture the changing light, the textures produced and will leave with a deeper understanding of why and how the sky changes so dramatically.
THE COURSE WILL GIVE PARTICIPANTS
WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
No previous experience required although an artistic temperament is helpful.

ABOUT THE TUTOR
Jules is a practising artist and art history guide and speaker. She has taught ceramics, painting, drawing and recycling sculpture for many years and has a background in both practical work and theory based research. Jules uses the natural sciences to help her students understand and better appreciate the world around them so that they can draw it. Jules believes that life is fuller and more enriched by artistic experience, regardless of your drawing age.
