
This is a great opportunity for someone to gain work experience at the Sustainability Centre and to train in sustainability related subjects free of charge from the Centre's course programme.
Duration: May-October (3 months minimum period)
Minimum hours required: Thurs-Sun each week (with some flexibility!)
Main Responsibilities:
Manage the small yet occasionally busy campsite at the Sustainability Centre from Fri-Sun. Work with the Course Administrator to ensure the smooth running of courses. Help to maintain the Centre's gardens.

• Choose up to 2 Sustainability Centre courses a month to undertake free of charge for the duration of you stay.
• Onsite camping with compost toilet and solar shower facilities for the duration of your stay.
Key tasks:
Campsite
• Showing campers their pitch and campsite facilities
• Taking payment for camping and firewood
• Maintaining the campsite and facilities (toilets, washing- up sinks and showers) in a clean and tidy state
• Looking after the yurts and tipis on the campsite
• Maintaining acceptable noise levels on the campsite
• Dealing with enquiries and requests
• Providing campers with bbq's, firedishes and firewood etc if requested
Courses
• Setting up for courses alongside Course Administrator
• Meeting course tutor
• Meeting and greeting course participants
• Delivering housekeeping talk at the beginning of a course
• Working with Course Administrator to ensure the smooth running of courses
Gardens
Helping to maintain and improve the forest garden and the hostel gardens.
Optional tasks: (according to skills and interest)
• Building repair and maintenance
• Administrative tasks in the learning department
• Assisting with school groups
