If you come to our site any day from Thursday to Sunday the first thing that will strike you as you approach is a sandwich board perched at the entrance next to the South Downs Way. Under the name of 'The Beech Cafe' it promises fair-trade, local and organic tea and cake, vegetarian meals and other such delights. It is a living example of the kind of choices that can be made when the issues raised by sustainability and global citizenship are considered and addressed.
The year is starting cold once more so you may well visualise the pleasure of wrapping your hands around a fair-trade cup of tea and filling your belly with a generous chunk of chocolate cake, also fair-trade of course. Kevin and Ali our very own 'Beech Boys' will be waiting behind their counter in the Beech Cafe to serve and tempt you with all the delicious local, organic, fair-trade and vegetarian goodies they have on offer.
You can sit at the sturdy beech tables made by Kevin's son and enjoy your refreshments. You might gaze out the window down the hill towards our campsite and woodlands. Feel free to explore the 55 acre site further, bring the children, bring the dog, enjoy our amazing views that stretch right to the sea.
