Hayward and Parsons are two pioneers. Young men prepaired to walk accross England to spread the idea of pilgrimage, song and friendship.
They are trying to launch a New South Downs Pilgrims Way as part of their quest to revive British Pilgrimage.
They have been welcomed by The Sustainability Centre where instead of sleeping under a tarpaulin in the wild, they had the chance to sleep in a cosy Yurt, fully equiped with a wood burner and real bed. Thats a luxury we don't expect, they said, after Singing For Their Sleep (in the Yurt)!
We want as many children and teenagers to enjoy our education programmes and the great outdoors as possible. If travel costs are an issue for your school then make the most of the South Downs National Park travel grant scheme.
