ABOUT THE COURSE
Make your own notebook, sketchbook or unique gift book, using three different hand-sewing techniques. You will take home 2-3 books made from decorative paper and card such as postcards, notecards, envelopes, packets and old calendars.
Our tutor will guide you through the process of measuring, piercing and stitching using 3 methods: pamphlet stitching, long stitching and then producing a multi-sectioned book using tape/ribbon to fasten. These books make unique, personal gifts and the course is an excellent introduction to the world of book-making from an exceptional book-making artist.

ABOUT THE TUTOR
Angela Thames is a renowned Book Artist with work held in both private and public collections including Tate Britain, Oxford Brookes University, Bath Spa University, and internationally in Italy and North America. Having graduated from UCA Farnham in 2006 with a degree in Fine Art, Angela now works as a tutor, printmaker and maker of artists books. Her work is usually inspired by walking in the local landscape or from days out, working in the garden.
