Art Walkshop with Tiffany Robinson
Wed 19th April 2017
Tutor: Tiffany Robinson
ABOUT THE COURSE
Walkshops are artist-led walks into the beautiful woodland of the Sustainability Centre with groups of up to ten people.
On each guided walk you are introduced to observation techniques that bring about a greater sense of awareness of the nature around you, and your own inner nature.
The artist leads you through a series of exercises in which you use all of your senses to ‘notice’. It’s about the act of noticing, recognising, and recording. With each exercise you are encouraged to record your own response through creative writing and drawing. Some exercises you will be stationery, others moving at different paces through the forest.
Although in groups of up to ten people, we remain relatively close but the process is quite private. At the end of the session we will gather to reflect on what has been discovered, how to continue in your own time, over lunch.
By the end of the day you will have experienced the forest in a new way, completed a number of studies and gained confidence in your ability to express yourself..
